Kudos from The RSS Pundit

October 11, 20062 Comments

I awoke this morning to discover a fantastic blog post from Kip Meacham over at The RSS Pundit.  Kip is a product strategist and international technology marketer located in Salt Lake City.

Kip writes excitedly about PRX Builder and really gets what we’re trying to do here.  PRX Builder is all about making Web 2.0, PR 2.0, and the Social Media Press Release accessible to everyone.

Kip sums it up on his blog:

This is just way too cool… Shift Communications magnate Todd Defren and team’s innovative social media press release template has just been made much easier to produce… Now even (most) PR people can do this most Web 2.0 thing…

Kip promises to take PRX Builder for a test drive and let us all know what he thinks.  Can’t wait…

As we say in the west, Shannon:

“If you done it, it ain’t braggin’…”

A tool to make this an easy task is a real win for PR pros who need to spend their days securing mindshare and influence for their clients rather than figuring out the nuances of RSS or Atom feeds.

So, as I have a release to do in the next couple of days, PRX Builder will be the tool of choice for my first social media release.

Again, sincere congratulations. Let’s hope our PR pals have the CPU cycles to take advantage of what you’ve built.

    Hi Shannon,

Thanks for the comments at wwww.greengathering.blogspot.com (see also http://www.greenblog.co.uk where we have doubled up).

I think the concept of PXB is long over due so I tip my hat to you guys for doing it – but still not sure where the hacks stand on this however, at least those outside the technical press who still struggle with the idea of a cell phone.

I’m still neutral on this but I wish you all the best in the venture. To be honest, I have still not been able to get my hands on it because of the firewall at my office won’t tolerate Flash – maybe you guys should do it in straight web-lite.

In the UK, Old Europe, people are still rather puzzled by the whole concept of social media, so I would be more than happy to champion PXB (once I get my head around it!) because I really do believe this will become a very potent tool over the next couple of years.

We have one client who really understands the whole Web 2.0 schtick – http://www.whisky.co.uk, indeed they’ve taken Web 2.0 into the real world in many ways through co-creation or “open source business” – and I will keep you informed how PXB works for them.
By the same token – keep me posted.
    Ian
