hRelease Prototype in PRX Builder

It’s always helpful to have something tangible to review.  Specifications are good, but it’s difficult to visualize the results of a technical document.

To help folks see the potential of the hRelease specification, I’ve recoded the default template for PRX Builder.  It now conforms to the current hRelease specification and every release, when viewed with the default template, will be hRelease-encoded.

Example:

car With hRelease, we are able to break a release into individual elements.  We can then do what we want with the individual pieces, filtering, removing, and combining content to meet the needs of the reader.

These are the building blocks for the next phase of news distribution.  This technology enables all of the slicing-and-dicing of your news releases.  It moves us all toward better news distribution processes.

I’m looking forward to the contributions of other developers in this space.  There’s still much work to be done and many more creative ideas to entertain.

[hRelease is not an official specification.  I have implemented the current version as an example of what can be done, however, the final specification may change.]
