Social Media Resume Assignment
Does anyone find it ironic that I’m an HR Systems guy, who wrote some PR software, that’s now being used for HR/Recruiting purposes? …I didn’t think so. Nonetheless, I’m very pleased that some people are finding alternative uses for PRX Builder, the Social Media Release Builder.
Dr. Corinne Weisgerber teaches an upper-level class on Social Media and Public Relations at St. Edward’s University. One of the final assignments for the course: Create a Social Media Resume. PRX Builder is one of the tools that a student might select to build that winning online resume.
I’ve been aware for some time that students have been using PRX Builder for Social Media Resumes. Don’t tell anyone, but I did make a copy of PRX Builder and begin the process of customizing it for the resume process. Will I ever complete that version? As my son likes to say: “8-ball says, doubtful,” but there may eventually be a new product. In the meantime, I hope people get some use out of PRX Builder, for Social Media Releases and Resumes.

Most social media resumes I’ve seen thus far have been created using GooglePages, which is really more of a website creation service than a resume builder tool. Launching a resume builder version of PRX Builder would indeed be a great idea!
A social media resume twist on the PRX Builder would be fantastic. There are a large group of students at PR OpenMic (http://www.propenmic.org) who would love to test something like this out.

I wish there were five more of me for that. The interesting part is that there is probably a bigger need for the resume tool than there is the release tool.

Have you thought to be adding more videos to your blog articles to help keep your readers a lot more interested?
