I’m bookmarking this video feed so I can check-in throughout the day. I won’t be able to attend any of today’s events, but I did buy a ticket (last minute) for tomorrow.
I still haven’t been invited to any of the “secret” anti-Twitter meetings. Maybe I’m seen as a Twitter-loyalist. [tongue-in-cheek emoticon]
Anyway here are my thoughts on name discovery:
- Place a realtimeendpoint.txt file on the server with a pointer to a RESTful method.
- Given the name of a user, the method should return true or false if that user exists.
In that way, we could use {username}@somedomain.com as a name in any microblogging system and we’d have a way to determine if that user exists at that domain.
